Bravery

Authors note:  my writing piece is comparing how survivals is shown throughout  Scott O'Dell two books island of the blue dolphin, and Sarah bishop.

Have you ever had to spend the night alone outside with no friends or family? Imagine having to live life alone with no family, no friends, and no home or food or warmth. In the novels, Sarah bishop, & Island of the blue dolphins by Scott, O dell, two girls with very different lifestyles both loss their family and have to learn survive on there own.
In Sarah bishop, the girl, Sarah bishop ,is  a fifteen years old.  & she lives at home with her brother and father until war breaks out in her home town, her family passes away and she is on her own. She is a very smart girl to learn how to survive all alone.
In island of the blue dolphin Kendra is own her own because her and her brother where left behind by a ship and then wild dogs eat her brother . In island of the blue dolphins,  Karana's brother Ramo is killed and she is left alone on the island. She is harassed constantly by the wild dogs and the other wild animals on her island. Karana must protect and provide for herself totally on her own. It is amazing how this a twelve-year-old girl is able to survive alone!
Overall, these two girls come from very different lifestyles &both show amazing amount of courage and bravery.

The Domino Affect…….

Authors note: this piece of writing is to explain to the reader the cause and effects of my novel Sarah Bishop.   My piece shows what leads up to the climax and how the climax affects Sarah's life.

Sarah Bishop lives at home with her brother and father. War is breaking out in her home town and causing destruction. Her brother decides to go fight for the Patriots even though their father is a troy.
The main climax of this book is when Sarah finds herself alone in the world, with no close friends or family. She doesn't have a home to live in because it was burned down. She finds herself with no were to go
Sarah is alone in the world because her father is a troy the patriots tar and feather her father causing his death one day later.  Her brother is gone fighting in the war, & she doesn't know where she can contact him. Sarah eventually receives news of her brother’s death. Sarah finds her way across large areas of land till she finds a place to live. She decides to live in a cave away from all of town.
Now Sarah finds herself all by herself just because of the war. The war plays a big affect in her life.

How far will one go for freedom?

Authors note: this piece of writing is explaining the point of view in my historical fiction
Book Sarah Bishop . It tells the reader who is telling this story and what would happen if
a different character would tell the story.

Sarah bishop is  a fifteen year old girl, & she lives at home with her brother and father.
War is breaking out in her home town, and her father and brother support different sides. Sarah is confused about she should stand for. Sarah tells readers about events happen.
The revolutionary war has come to Sarah's hometown , Sarah tells the readers how her brother
leaves to go fight the war as a troy. Sarah also tells readers how her father gets  and feathered.
In Sarah Bishop, Sarah bishop is  a fifteen year old girl, & she lives at home with her brother and father.
War is breaking out in her home town, and her father and brother support different sides. ` Sarah is confused about she should stand for.
The story is written in Sarah Bishops point of view. From this perspective, a lot of events and characters are described in a way that creates anger, fear, and curiosity  in the reader about the death of Sarah's father and brother.
One way that Sarah Bishop's point of view influences the reader's interpretation is how this perspective describes/shows how Sarah deals with the deaths of her only family members, she decides to go find a couple small jobs to make some money. She also finds a place to live and make it on her own.
However, the reader would feel a lot differently about the war if she was one of the solders. if the novel was written in the point of view of of a solider maybe she would see why they wanted to fight.
For instance, the reader wouldn't think that fighting the Americans would be a good idea.As you can see, the point of view of a story forces the reader to see just one side of an event or topic. From this perspective, a lot of events and characters are described in a way that creates anger, fear, and curiosity  in the reader about the death of Sarah's father and brother.  I think Sarah  is a brave young girl.

Family...., what does it mean?

Family, What does it Mean?
Authors note: this piece of writing discusses the meaning of family. It also shows you how the authors used the meaning of family in the outsiders. It also tells the reader about real life examples of families and how not all families are the same.

The definition of family:   (FAM·i·lie) * A fundamental social group in society consisting of one or two parents and their children*. Is that what family really is though? Isn't family people you  can count on and trust, people you love and the people that take care of you and stand up for you no matter what?  That’s what family is in the outsiders.
First of all, the author makes family a main topic in this story by not having any greaser have the " typical normal family Greasers have what we consider to be the normal family, a mom, dad, and possibly siblings. Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry did, until the tragedy of their parents. Two-bit only has a mom, Johnny parents abuse him and don't care about him. Dally parents left him. Having a non reliable biological family, they sure have an amazing family consisting of the greasers. Nowadays the normal American family isn't a mom and a dad and siblings all living together.
Secondly, families aren't just different in books; I could use some people in my family as examples. I have  a mom, a dad, a sister, and a brother. My cousin on the other hand has only a mom and a brother, her parents divorced. My other set of cousins has just a mom. They had a dad but, sadly he passed away in September 2011. I have a friend that was adopted by two very loving people, and even though they are not her biological parents they are still her family. A family is people and a family is love and there are all different kinds of families.
Finally,  all families are different, and by no means are they perfect. Families aren't just biological; they are people that you care about and love. I think there should be a new definition of the word family.  (Fam-i-lie)* A dependable group of people, people you love*.

Bob's point of view.

Authors note: this is a piece of writing that talks about what bob thought of the fight scene.
I put my foot on the gas of my mustang.  It was hard to drive, it was dark and we were pretty drunk. I couldn't help but try to understand what cherry saw in those greasers.
I didn’t realize where we were until I saw them. The two greasers that picked up our girls. Our soc girls. We ought to teach them a lesson. I pulled up around the park and all of us soc's jumped out.  I didn’t know what we would do to them but all I knew that they would never want to look at a soc girls again.
We walked up to the greasers. They had blank tough looks on there faces I wasn’t sure if they were afraid. I recall saying" you know what a greaser is? White trash with long hair."  the kid had the nerve to tell me soc's were nothing but white trash with mustangs and madras. that hit me hard. With a grin on my face I decided to give the little greaser a "bath" in the fountain behind him. My friend David grabbed the kid from the back of his neck and shoved him face first into the fountain. I remember him struggling and slowly start to let up. Then I felt a sharp pain and before I realized what had happened………. I was gone…….. I believe that if we were sober, we would not have gone as far as we went. Also things would

my country paper

                                              Country paper

No, I am not very proud of my county.
My country has good qualities but  also have bad ones.
One of the reasons I am not proud of my home country is the economical conditions it is  facing right now. Yes I understand that every country is experiencing difficulties but the  average  Americans is not spending their money the responsible way . If American families  improvise on what they spend and the government changes what they tax, the American  stock market might improve. Also paying construction workers large salaries for holding a  stop sign, and a person pressing a button in a factory should be changed.
Also I am not proud of my country because they always are fighting in a different countries instead of  keeping  the US citizens safe. They should just save the money they use ,fighting in other countries, and  spend it on something that would help America achieve greatness. And maybe get out of debt. Maybe having our  country stop  having other countries ship in supplies, that Americans could easily make themselves might help our debt. They should also export more .
Yes, Our country has certain laws that are freedom of speech and all men created equal but how are people supposed to peruse happiness if out country is in debt, Americas are being taxed for everything they buy and if we are always fighting in other counties?
